Hello Everyone!

It has been a few days since I have been here to write and review a good book. I had some things going on in my life and wasn't able to be here to write.  Now, we are into December and I know you are preparing for Christmas as I am.  I have all my decorations up and I am enjoying my trees and the beautiful Christmas music and some good Christmas books to read.  I have been reading some good ones.  I read every night out of my Stories of Christmas from the Chicken Soup for the Soul books.  I love those books and they contain many great stories.  I have several different ones.  I would recommend it to the parents and to be read to children.
I hope you  will check them out.
I was given a handmade nativity set from mother that I loved so much but I moved to a new city about 2 1/12 years ago and I can't find it so I am thinking that it is lost which is very sad but as I was wishing for a new one a strange thing happened.  I found an old Christmas card with a beautiful nativity on it.  Then my daughter made a big one which is made of paper and glitter on a big piece of cardboard.  It is really pretty and then yesterday I received my first Christmas card in the mail.  Guess what the card had on the front of it.  You guessed it a beautiful Nativity scene.  So I lost one but gained three nice ones.  I am very thankful.
I thought for Christmas if I can manage it I would write something everyday for the 12 days of Christmas.  I will start on the 13th and see what I can do.  So check back everyday for a tidbit for something to do concerning Christmas.
So today I have a really nice book to share that children would enjoy and it tells the true story of Christmas.  I hope you will read it to a child this Christmas season.

God Gave Us Christmas
by
Lisa Tawn Bergren

Little Cub and her family are preparing to celebrate the most wonderful time of the year, Christmas.  Little Cub asks her mother, "Who invented Christmas"? Her mother's answer leads to another question from Little Cub.  Little Cub asks her mother, " Is God more important than Santa?"  So Little Cub and her mother head off on a Polar Expedition to find God and to find out how God gave us Christmas. Along the way, they find signs that God is at work all around them.  Through Mother Bear's gentle guidance Little Cub learns about the very first Christmas and discovers that. "Jesus is the best present of all."
This charming tale provides the perfect opportunity to help young children celebrate the true meaning of Christmas and to discover how very much God loves them.
I hope you will share this wonderful book with a child this wonderful Christmas season.
