Good morning everyone!
I hope everyone had a great weekend and you are keeping warm today. It is 4 degrees here this morning. Anytime it is below 32 degrees I am cold. I am starting a new series of books this week. I want to share the Magic Treehouse Books with you. They are written by Mary Pope Osborne. I have links to her Official Web Site and the Magic Treehouse Site for you to check out. I loved reading her books to my students when I was teaching and my students loved them. We read them all through the year. I would choose the ones that I thought went with the season or holidays we were studying. The kids love Jack, and Annie. When we would start a book the kids couldn't wait for Jack and Annie to go to the Magic Treehouse and see where they would go. Mary Pope Osborne recently wrote one where Jack and Annie go back in time and visit with Abraham Lincoln. I haven't read that one yet but I look forward to reading it.
Mary's books are for children mostly in grades 2-5 and children love to read them too but they love having them read to them too. So check out your nearest library and start your journey to so many wonderful places and times in this world with Mary Pope Osborne's Magic Treehouse books. You and the children will love them.
Buffalo Before Breakfast

Mary Pope Osborne
The Magic Treehouse takes Jack and Annie back 200 years to the Great Plains of America where they meet a Lakota boy who teaches them how to hunt buffalo. But something goes wrong! ( the children love the action in the Magic Treehouse books and there is always plenty of action in the books.) Jack and Annie must stop 1,000 buffalo from stampeding!
Jack and Annie always have great adventures and this story is a really good one but then again all of the books are great. There are so many possibilities for learning in these books. Boys and girls alike love them. So I hope you will take your child or grandchild to the library and let them help pick out several for you to read together. I will see you again with another book this week. Happy reading!!!
