Happy Monday Everyone!

Hope everyone had a great weekend and was able to enjoy the beautiful fall trees and read a good book.  I have started reading Christmas books.  I will have to share some of them with you as Christmas approaches.  Today I am going to share a favorite book that I loved reading to my Kindergartners and First graders.  It is Corduroy's Thanksgiving by Don Freeman.  This is a classic book and all my students loved every Corduroy book that I read to them and there are quite a few of them out there.  So check Corduroy out at your public library or bookstore.  They are all so good.  Besides I love bears and Corduroy is one of my favorite bears.

Corduroy's Thanksgiving
by
Don Freeman

Corduroy is getting ready for Thanksgiving dinner and he has invited all his friends. He gets busy cooking and cleaning before his friends come over.  They go to the parade.  After the parade they have dinner and before they eat each person tells what they are thankful for.  After dinner they run outside to play football and enjoy being together.  Before everyone leaves they have dessert and then say goodbye.  It is a really cute book and you could share other Corduroy books with your little ones as the week goes by.  The first Corduroy is my favorite so you could even start with it.  Enjoy reading Corduroy and have your child get their teddy bear out to hold as you read.  Hope you enjoy the Corduroy books and see you next time with more Thanksgiving books.
