Fancy Nancy
Our Thanksgiving Banquet
by
Jane O'Connor and Robin Glasser

Nancy's grandparents are hosting Thanksgiving this year and all of Nancy's family is attending the Thanksgiving Banquet.  Grandpa and Nancy love talking in French so they greet each other with Bonjour!.  When it is time for dinner Nancy heads for the grown-up table when her mother says that there isn't enough chairs at the grownup table.  Nancy notices that everything is paper at the kid's table. She wanted to sit where everything is fancier.   The cousins start to act silly so Nancy's uncle asks if he could sit there so Nancy moves to the grownup table. Nancy notices that everything is fancier at the grownup table. Then Nancy asks for the gravy and spills some on the fancy tablecloth but her grandmother says she spilled something to and that is what the tablecloth is for. Then Nancy notices that her cousins are coloring so she decides to go help them make turkeys.  The whole family has a wonderful Thanksgiving dinner and the kids make fancy turkeys using their hands.

Check it out at your library or bookstore.  It is a really cute book.

Have you child or grandchild make a turkey from their hand and then decorate it fancy.  ENJOY !!!
