Happy Friday Readers!!!!!
It is a beautiful day in the neighborhood today. The fall trees are so magnificent. I love seeing them as I drive by the houses and the woods. I saw one today in a yard that was just beautiful. It was a burnt red color and a big tree. I am trying to enjoy them everyday because I see that the leaves are falling so not to many days left to enjoy them. So I hope you and your children are enjoying them too.
Today I would like to share two Halloween books that are for younger children ages 2-6 I would say. You will have to read the books to them but the children will enjoy both books and the bright illustrations. So check them out at your library or bookstore. One of them I purchased at the store for my granddaughter who is 2. I know she will love it. I give her books a lot because I know the more she is read to the better reader she will be one day.
Two Little Witches
by
Harriet Ziefert
This s a cute Halloween counting story with two cute witches. The two little witches are going trick or treating and along the way they meet several other trick or treaters in their costumes. It has a cute ending with the two little witches all alone.
As a bonus there are 40 stickers in this book. I know children love stickers. :) Also, children could use the stickers to make their own Halloween story. This might be one to buy. :)
Halloween Alphabet
by
Beverly Barras Vidrine
This book goes through the alphabet using Halloween items for each letter of the alphabet. This book might be better for children 5 to 8. This is a good book to help children learn the letters of the alphabet . It does have great illustrations for each letter of the alphabet.
I hope you will enjoy reading both books to a young child this weekend.
HAPPY READING!!!!
