Happy Wednesday Everyone!!!

WOW!!! It is going to be 76 degrees here in the heartland of the United States. Spring is coming my friends!!! 9 days till the first day of spring. I am really looking forward to the beautiful weather and the trees ,grass, and flowers coming back to life. What a wonderful time of the of the year.

Today, I wanted to share another American Girl book and to encourage you if you have a daughter or granddaughter to check all the books. I have one more book to share on Friday. It is the American Girl Doll of the year Grace. I can't wait to share it with you and then next week I want to share some children's books with you about Paris. Who hasn't dreamed of going to Paris in the springtime. Grace goes to Paris and I look forward to sharing the book with you.

I thought it would be a good way to enjoy the first week of spring. :)

This story is about Rebecca Rubin who lived during 1914 in New York City. Rebecca lives with her two sisters, brother, and her parents. Her grandmother lives upstairs. Rebecca's cousin Ana and her family need to leave Russia so Ana decides to help by putting on a sidewalk show. Rebecca wants to be an actress so she loves doing plays. When her cousin Ana and her family arrive in New York Rebecca is so happy until Rebecca is assigned to sing with Ana in a school program. She worries about Ana's broken english and if it will ruin the show.

Then her class is making Christmas decorations and Rebecca worries if she can finish the project since she is Jewish.

What will Rebecca do? How will the program turn out and will Rebecca finish the school Christmas project?
