Happy Monday Everyone!
Can you believe it? The first day of spring was on last Thursday and now today where I am it is snowing. I can't believe it where is spring? I can't wait till Mother Nature decides it is spring too. I hope it is more like spring where you live today. I am going to share a book today that has to do with a garden. I am hoping to start an herb garden here soon. I want to use fresh herbs in my cooking. So this book made me think of gardens.
Hope you enjoy it with a child.

The Talking Vegetables
by
Won-Ldy Paye and Margaret H. Lippert
The villagers are planting a community garden, but spider refuses to help with the garden. Spider says he has plenty of rice to eat so why should he help with the vegetables. So each time the villagers ask for his help he says no.
Then one day spider gets tired of plain rice so he decides to go to the garden and pick some vegetables. Imagine his surprise when he tries picking the vegetable and they start talking to him. Check out this fun book and see what the vegetables say to spider and what happens when he tries to pick them. Check it out at your nearest library or bookstore.
It is a really cute book and has a good lesson in the story to for children to understand. Hope you enjoy it.
I added two other books you might want to check out by the same two authors as The Talking Vegetables. Check them out at the library too. See you Wednesday. In April I am going to do an April in Paris theme. Hope you will join me then.
